Head Coach
Role and Responsibilities
- Player Development - Guide players’ growth in skills, game awareness, and teamwork while balancing competition with teaching to foster long-term development and ensure a positive, safe, and inclusive experience for every athlete.
- Communication & Representation - Serve as the primary connection between the team, league, and parents by communicating with transparency, professionalism, and respect while representing the program’s values and reputation on and off the field.
- Equipment - Any damaged, missing, or unsafe equipment must be reported immediately to the Safety Officer. Addressing issues early ensures player safety and maintains the quality of equipment for all teams. At the end of each season, all coaches are responsible for returning team equipment promptly and in good condition. Timely returns help the league inventory, repair, and prepare gear for the following season.
- Evaluation Forms - At the end of each season, coaches are required to complete and submit player evaluation forms by the designated deadline. These evaluations help guide future team placements and track player development over time.
- League Development Sessions - Attend and Participate in Open Gyms for Development Sessions at least 2 times. This ensures that kids get to know you and you get to know the kids before the season starts.
- Home Game Day - Responsible for making sure the field ready for game play. This includes but not limited to raking, lining, setting up bases, setting up pitchers mound, removing standing water from field of play. Games should be ready to go at the allotted time.
